Cincinnati, OH, October, 2007 — Kirk & Blum now ranks first among North American sheet metal contractors, according to Engineering News-Record magazine's just-released annual listing of construction industry leaders. The ENR rankings are based on 2006 sales. The systems integration arm of CECO Environmental (NASDAQ: CECE), Kirk & Blum moved up from third to first on sales increase from $81.5 million to $104.8. million, the largest year-to-year jump in company history.
Sales through the first three quarters of 2007 are running ahead of last year's record pace, said Rick Blum, CECO Environmental president, offering good prospects for K&B to hold unto its #1 position in next year's rankings. Considered the industry bible of the large-scale construction industry, Engineering News-Record publishes its annual rankings in the October issue.
