CECO ENVIRONMENTAL RECEIVES SIGNIFCANT ORDER

NEW YORK, November 4, 2004 - CECO Environmental Corp. (NASDAQ: CECE) reported today that its CECO Abatement division has received an order in excess of $800,000 from a major corporation for the retrofit of a Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer (RTO) located in the Eastern United States.

Robert Cloud, General Manager of CECO Abatement stated, "the purpose of the retrofit is to dramatically improve the operational efficiency of the existing RTO thereby increasing the thermal efficiency of the system as well as reducing the fuel and electrical power requirements, which should result in a rapid return on investment for our client."

Richard Blum, CECO President and COO said, "having CECO Abatement add to all the recent activity at the various CECO divisions reinforces our belief that our vertically-integrated menu of air pollution solutions from concept to installation is being well received by our customers."
